a US rock band started in 1983 whose music combines ↑funk, ↑hip hop and rock. The band members, especially lead singer Anthony Kiedis, are particularly known for playing and appearing in videos wearing only a few clothes. Their ↑albums include Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991), Californication (1999) and By the Way (2002).
